Keira’s "Being Wineful" experience beautifully merges mindfulness and wine appreciation, inviting participants to slow down, savour each sip, and immerse themselves in the present moment. Mindfulness is the practice of paying full attention to the current experience without judgement, fostering an awareness of thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surroundings in a calm, focused manner. Rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, mindfulness guides us to observe what is happening right now, engaging fully with the moment.
Mindfulness can be practised through meditation, breathing exercises, or simply focusing on everyday activities—like walking or eating. In Keira’s sessions, this focus is directed towards wine tasting, a sensory experience that encourages full awareness. Participants are guided through observing the wine, smelling its delightful aromas, and tasting and savouring each flavour, allowing them to experience wine in an entirely new way. This mindful engagement with wine—what we call "Being Wineful"—invites participants to relish the ease, joy, and sensory pleasure of being fully present in the ‘now.’
Through these sessions, Keira aims to help participants increase awareness, reduce stress, and promote mental clarity and emotional well-being, transforming wine tasting into a meditative, nurturing experience. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or new to mindfulness, "Being Wineful" offers a path to enjoy wine in a way that not only enhances sensory pleasure but also supports inner calm and wellness.
Keira is a qualified Mindfulness Coach and Teacher with Mindfulness Now. As well as a qualified yoga teacher with Classical Yoga School. She’s also a Wine Communicator and Educator, qualified in WSET Levels 2 and 3 in Wines and Spirits, and currently studying on the Level 4 Diploma (DipWest) course.
Over the years Keira has benefited enormously from her training in mindfulness and yoga, both of which have been invaluable in balancing a demanding corporate career with the most important role of all—being a mum. Hosting wine events has become another mindful activity she loves, offering her a way to connect with others while embracing the present moment.
