Notos Blend 2019 (red wine), Crete 🇬🇷.

I've been waiting for a moment to open this fabulous wine I brought home from Crete. And my god it's better than I remember in the tasting! Just fabulous 😍

Nostos Blend blend consists of Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache Rouge and Roussanne. Syrah is vinified in oak tanks, while the others are vinified in stainless steel. After the fermentation, the wine ages in French (75%) and American barrels (25%), for about 10 months.

👃Raspberry, plum, blueberry, sour cherry and black berry. Vanilla and violet. Liquorice too!

👅 As above, but with a few more spicy tertiary notes! Leather, earthy tones, as well as something herbal too 🌿, almost medicinal, in a good way.

It's warming, tannins are high, and I can feel them across my teeth, smooth and mouth watering. The acidity is high!!

It's absolutely bloody lovely, and complex, and will pair a treat with my steak and chips tonight! ❤️
