Wine Society’s Falanghina 2023

This didn't last long! Last night's Falanghina (ancient Italian grape). What a beaut. Well done @thewinesociety1874 on this find for under £10!

Pronounced fa-lang-GEE-na - think Orangina! Which is remarkable helpful, because it has the dual purpose of describing it's flavour aromas - this wine has an orangey taste! 🍊🍊🍊

I wasn't expecting that. It's apricots, oranges, with subtle citrus. It was a beautiful fuller bodied match to our wonderful Herby roast chicken dinner! Worked a bloody treat! 🙌💪 Italian whites are pretty good at cutting through the olive oil abundance in this dish too.

Worth it for the price. A simple but solid white! Definitely get this one again.

(And Puffin the cat was desperately sad when she saw we had polished off the wine (joke 🤣) and chicken dish so quickly!).
